基于经验模式分解算法的Hilbert-Huang变换把复杂的数据分解成瞬时频率有意义的、指定余项误差的固有模态函数,是一种数据驱动的自适应时频分析方法。本文以单分量信号为例,给出了采样频率与经验模式分解所产生的误差之间的数量表示,说明了提高采样频率可改善时频分辨率,并就高斯线性调频信号分析了Hilbert-Huang变换的信号时聚性。

Based on the Empirical Mode Decomposition algorithm, Hilbert-Huang transform (HHT) is a data-driven and self-adapting method of energy-time-frequency distribution and is able to compose any complicated data into Intrinsic Mode Functions, which has meaningful instantaneous frequency in physical and limited errors of residues. This paper quantifies and describes the numerical relationship between the EMD error and the sampling frequency using single component cosine signal for example. The result reveals that increasing the sampling frequency will improve the frequency resolution. We also analyze the time-frequency assemble quality of HHT of Gaussian Linear Frequency Modulation signal.
