湖南省细分工业行业全要素生产率变动分析：1993-2012年

Under the background of China' s new normal, in order to realize the sustainable development of industry, transformation and upgrading of technology is inevitable, it is very necessary to study total factor productivity of region industry. Use unified caliber adjusted input and output data, calculated the TFP of the 37 sub-industries in Hunan province in 1993-2012 respectively by the growth accounting method and data envelopment analysis method. The results show that: First, the TFP growth rate calculated by the growth accounting method is more relevant to output growth than by the DEA method, in most cases the productivity grow with output growth. The change trend of TFP growth rate of two methods is similar, TFP growth rate by DEA method is generally higher, but more volatile. Second, according to the decomposition of the Malmquist index, show that the main power of TFP growth of the vast majority of Hunan province industries is the technological progress, while the pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency are main obstacles. Third, use the growth accounting method to analyze the contribution of the capital, labor, intermediate input and total factor productivity to economic growth of the industry, found that the intermediate input contributed most, then, in turn, is the capital, technology and labor. Fourth, adopting the Domar weight index to calculate different industries' contribute value to industrial TFP growth in Hunan province, found that the whole industry in Hunan province was technical progressed, the special equipment manufacturing,automobile manufacturing contribution is higher.
