Novel Current-Mode Wide Band Low Noise Amplifier
文章提出了一种电流模式宽带低噪声放大器的设计。与传统的电压模式射频电路不同,该电路采用电流模式来处理信号。该电路采用共栅输入来获得宽带匹配,然后经过电流镜直接将信号放大,输出为电流信号。该电路基于TSMC0.18μm RF CMOS工艺, 经过ADS仿真,在1~7GHz的频带范围内获得了17.9±0.6dB的跨导增益,输入端口反射系数S11小于-10dB,噪声系数NF小于3.28 dB。采用1.2V电源供电,功耗为12.6mW。与传统的电压模式宽带低噪声放大器仿真结果相比较,本电路结构具有噪声系数小、功耗低、电路结构简单等优点。
his paper presents a wideband low noise amplifier designed with current-mode technique. With the common-gate configuration as the input stage, the wideband input matching is achieved. Then the signal is directly amplified by current mirror, the output is current. The LNA was designed in the ADS using TSMC 0.18μm RF CMOS process. Simulation shows that, the transconductance gain is 17.9±0.6dB for 1-7GHz, S11 is less than -10dB; and the noise figure is less than 3.28dB. With voltage of 1.2V, the DC current consumption is 12.6mW. A comparison with conventional voltage-mode LNA shows that this LNA has advantages of low noise figure, low power consumption and simple structure.
