基于小波和脊波的分层图像压缩算法

基于分层思想,结合小波变换和脊波变换的分析优势,本文提出了一种新型的分层编码算法。首先对原图像进行一级小波变换,取出低频带作为原图像的平滑近似,对其进行嵌入式小波零树编码(EZW),获得平滑层图像;然后根据残差边缘层有限基波变换的特征,提出了一种改进的脊波变换,用以对残差边缘层图像进行更稀疏的表示,并根据变换系数的特点,改进多级树集合分裂算法(SPIHT),实现了变换系数的编码。实验结果表明,本算法在码率较低的情况下具有优于小波零树编码算法的压缩性能,并且能够更清晰地重建原图像中的直线边缘。
his paper proposes a new mutil-layered image coding algorithm used to compress straight-edge-rich image.This algorithm combines the advantage of wavelet and ridegelet transformations.After one-level DWT ,wavelet based EZW is used to code the low frequency sub-band LL1,so that the smooth layer of the original image is coded. According to the characteristic of the residual image's frat cofficients, a modified ridgelet transform is proposed.The SPIHT are aslo modified to realize the coding of transform cofficients.Experiment results show that the proposed algotithm is more efficient than the wavelet-based spiht and can restruct the straight edges more clearly.?????
