his paper describes the physical and chemical characteristics and also the imperilment of Carbon tetrachloride (CT) , the present situation of the groundwater contamination caused by carbon tetrachloride at home and abroad are introduced in this paper. tetrachloride in the groundwater mainly comes from the wastes of industrial or agriculture production & usage and research institutes. Because of the widely production & usage and improper treatment and drainage of its wastes, the ground water was contaminated. And it also analyzes the possible morphology and transportation in the unsaturated zone and aquifer.
