RS码在PR信道下的研究

RS码已被广泛应用于通信系统和磁盘存储系统中以进行差错控制。基于G-S表译码算法提出的K-V代数软判决译码算法能通过利用信道的可靠性信息提高纠错码的性能。本文研究RS码在PR信道下的应用,并比较分析其硬判决译码算法和代数软判决译码算法原理及性能。计算机仿真结果表明:对于PR4信道,软判决译码较硬判决译码算法有2dB左右的系统增益;软判决和硬判决译码算法均能在PR4信道下得到优于EPR4信道的译码性能;而对于RS软判决译码算法,符号数的增加较码率的变化起到更加重要的作用。
RS code has been widely used in digital communications systems and magnetic recording systems for error-correcting. Based on the G-S list decoding algorithm, K-V algebra soft-decision decoding algorithm uses the reliability information coming from the channel to improve the performance of error correction capability. In this paper, we investigated the application of RS code over PR channels and analyzed the theory and the performance of the hard-decision decoding algorithm and the algebraic soft-decision decoding algorithm at the same time. Computer simulation results show that: compared with hard-decision decoding over PR4 channel, the soft-decision decoding obtained 2dB systems gain; furthermore, the PR4 channel with soft-decision decoding outperform that of EPR4 channel; the number of symbol taken more important role than the code rate in soft-decision decoding systems.
