本文分析建立了电吸收调制器器件中TE模与TM模折射率变化的理论模型。本文同时研究了输入泵浦光光生载流子浓度之间的联系。光生载流子浓度的变化导致了光的吸收系数的变化。模拟研究了输入泵浦光的光强的改变对TE模与TM模的相位改变的影响。电吸收调制器的偏振旋转效应得到了验证。根据电吸收调制器的偏振旋转效应,本文设计了一种新型的光纤环路型全光缓存器,并通过理论仿真验证了全光缓存器的可行性。

theoretical model about the refractive index change of TE and TM mode refractive index in EAM is presented. The relation between intensity of the pump light with photon-generated carrier concentration is presented. The change of carrier concentration leads to the change of photon absorption. By simulation, the influence of intensity of the pump light on phase difference of TE and TM mode has been investigated. The EAM polarization rotation effect is obtained. According to that, we designed a novel all-optical fiber loop buffer and proved it is viable.
