我国数字鸿沟2012与2020年对比研究

Purpose/Significance] This study aims to address two research questions: First, have digital divides narrowed down in the approximately ten years of time span Second, are there any significant changes to themechanisms of digital divides across the almost ten vears? [Method/Process] To study the cross-temporal changesin the digital divide based on questionnaire data collected through solid fieldwork in 2012 and 2020. [Result/Conclusion] This paper finds that the gaps in digital divides , including three dimensions of access, use and Internet ac.tivities , have narrowed in China. and the related formation mechanisms of the three dimensions show some diachronichanges. These findings further confirm that the gap of my country's digital divide is shrinking. The relevant conclu.sions of this study not only help to understand the distribution of the digital divide in my country , but also help policmakers to formulate targeted digital governance guidelines based on the formation mechanism of the digital divide byanalyzing the time changes of the formation mechanism of the digital divide.
