山东省经济发展水平的区域差异综合分析

Since the implementation of Reform-and-Open policy, Shandong Province has gained great achievement in economic development. Due to the divergence in factors like geographical location, resources endowment, etc., however, different region of the province vary greatly from each other in the degree of economic development. In this paper, data of 17 main cities’ economic development during 1995 to 2007 are used to analyze the variance of economic growth in Shandong Province, by applying the absolute difference, the dispatch rate of extreme value, the weighted coefficient of variation, the Gini coefficient and Theil index. The result shows that regional economic gap in Shandong Province expanded rapidly at first, and then the absolute difference continued expanding and the relative difference kept relatively stable after 2000, accompanying a slight downward trend. Intra-regional difference is the main reason for the difference of the overall, and in the decomposition of region, the result show the internal difference of central region is the biggest, and the one in the western and eastern regions is small relatively, but the growth rate is more in the past 13 years.
