WebRTC是一种由浏览器原生支持的音视频通信技术,通过简单的调用浏览器提供的API即可实现浏览器间的音视频通信。WebRTC的出现为IMS发展提供了机遇,实现WebRTC系统和IMS网络的互通为IMS业务的开展提供了强大动力。本文提出了一个完整的WebRTC和IMS网络媒体互通的解决方案,设计了媒体互通的系统架构和流程,并采用分布式的思想解决关键模块媒体网关在互通过程中的带宽和CPU瓶颈,提高了系统性能的可扩展性。

WebRTC is an real-time audio and video communications technology, which is natively supported by the browser, and developers only need to call the API provided by browsers to achieve the media communications between browsers. The emergence of WebRTC has brought opportunities for the development of IMS. And the intercommunication of WebRTC system and IMS network provides a powerful impetus for the launch of IMS services. This paper put forward a complete solution of intercommunication between WebRTC and IMS network, designed the system architecture and process of intercommunication, and present a distributed idea to solve bandwidth and CPU bottlenecks of media gateway in process and to improve system performance scalability.
