From Interesting Stories Happened in Childhood to a Notion in Advanced Mathematics
本文介绍如何从两则童年趣事出发向学生讲解曲率的概念及其应用。尝试将高等数学中抽象的概念与生动的例子结合起来,运用于课堂教学,启发学生去发现问题、思考问题、解决问题。实践证明,这种方法能达到很好的效果,课堂气氛轻松愉快,学生对此普遍比较感兴趣,能积极地与教师进行教学互动。
In this paper we exemplify how to introduce the students to the notion of curvature and its applications via two interesting stories happened in childhood. It is an experiment in combining abstract notions in advanced mathematics with vivid stories so that the students are led to discover and consider and solve problems in classroom. A good result is achieved by such a method in practice. All the students enjoy the easy and happy atmosphere and cooperate with the teacher actively.
