1990-2000年中国城市职能结构的最新变化
HE LATEST DEVELOPMENT OF FUNCTIONAL STRUCTURES OF CHINESE CITIES IN 1990-2000
基于第五次普查数据，应用“沃德误差聚类法”（Ward’s Method）对2000年中国649个城市进行了职能分类。通过将分类结果与1990年对比，剖析了1990-2000年间中国城市职能结构的最新变化特征，分析了其变化的潜在机制和影响因素，并预测了其未来可能的发展趋势，以求对新世纪中国区域和城市规划管理工作有所裨益。
Based on China’s fifth population census, this paper first classifies 649 Chinese cities in 2000 using the Ward’s Method. Comparing the result with that in 1990, it analyses the latest development characteristics of functional structures of Chinese cities in 1990-2000. It also tries to uncover the potential mechanism that makes the functional structure change of Chinese cities and projects some possible developing trend for the future development of functional structures of Chinese cities, with the purpose of benefiting China’s regional and urban planning works in the new 21st century.
