膜泡运输是真核细胞中蛋白质和脂类等物质运输的主要途径。膜泡运输包括运输囊泡的出芽、定向移动、拴留、锚定和融合等过程。SM (Sec1/Munc18-like)蛋白在由SNARE复合体介导的膜融合过程中发挥重要作用。SM蛋白家族有四个亚家族,分别是Sec1家族、Sly1家族、Vps33家族和Vps45家族,每个蛋白家族都在各自特定部位发挥重要作用。其中, Sly1 家族主要调控内质网和高尔基体间的膜泡运输。

In eukaryotic cells , vesicle trafficking is the main route for transportation of proteins and lipids. It includes vesicle budding, movement, tethering, docking and fusion. SM (Sec1/Munc18-like) protein families play an important role on membrane fusion which is mediated by SNARE complexes. The SM protein families are divided into four subfamilies, Sec1 family, Sly1 family, Vps33 family and Vps45 family. Each subfamily plays a critical role in a specific compartment. Among them, the Sly1 family functions between the endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi apparatus.
