基于GE的高程信息提取工具的开发与应用研究

he widely used Digital Elevation Model（DEM）data play a more and more important role. But the acquisition of DEM data will take enormous human and financial resources. So it is valuable and practical to make full use of the latitude, longitude and elevation information available in Google Earth. This paper takes advantage of Google Earth COM API to develop a tool that can rapidly extract elevation information from the Google Earth in any place and any range. What‘s more, this paper also takes the calculation of direction radiation distribution as an example to illustrate its simple application and analysis. The result shows that the elevation information extraction tool based on GE has high accuracy, so it has a great practical significance.
