By means of the concept of diffusion entropy (DE) we investigate the dynamical characteristics of a Hodgkin-Huxley (HH) under a kind of sinusoidal-modulated stimuli. The DE result for the response ISIs shows that a HH neuron lives in an intermediate state between dynamic and thermodynamic, called complexity. Three characteristic quantities can describe this complexity state very well.
