In this paper, we discuss that micro/nanoneedles for cell operation should have a small scale and a hollow structure to operate conveniently and make little damage to the cell. The main types of nanoneedles and the usual fabrication methods for hollow structure are reviewed. We analyze the advantages and the challenges that it would face with the development trends in the future. We also pointed that the development of micro/nanoneedles is relative to the development of fabrication, material, and the theory of micro/nanofludics.
