Effects of different intercropping patterns on crop productivity and species diversity and their relationship in Loess Plateau semi-arid areas

物种多样性与生产力之间的关系是生态学研究的热点问题,但仍存在许多争议。为了揭示生物多样性与生产力的关系问题,以玉米、豌豆和马铃薯为材料,采用大田实验的方法,探讨了种植模式、物种组合和生物多样性对作物生产力及其农艺性状的影响。结果表明:种植模式对间作的综合产量有显著性影响,物种组合起决定性的作用,而物种多样性与生产力之间不存在某种必然的联系。另外,与单作玉米相比,玉米/豌豆在四种行比间作下的玉米农艺性状无明显变化,在玉米/马铃薯间作以及玉米/豌豆/马铃薯间作模式中,种植模式对玉米的株高有一定的影响;与豌豆单作相比,各间作模式对豌豆的单株荚数有一定的影响,其余产量性状无显著性差异;与马铃薯单作相比,间作模式对株高、单株结薯数和单株商品数均有一定程度的影响。

he relationship between species diversity and productivity is a hot issue in ecology research, but there are still many controversies. We carried out an experiment with combinations of three crops (Zea mays, Pisum sativum and Solanum tuberosum) under different row ratios. A field experiment were conducted to study the relationship between species diversity and productivity, and to screen out the suitable intercropping pattern in Loess Plateau semi-arid areas of China. The agronomic characters and benefits of different intercropping patterns were studied. The main results were as follows: compared with monoculture of maize, expect for plant height, the agronomic characters of maize had no significant difference in maize/pea and maize/potato intercropping patterns, while in the pea/potato intercropping pattern, some agronomic characters of potato were significantly improved. The number of pods per plant and number of branches changed in maize/pea and pea/potato intercropping patterns. Moreover, the results showed that there was no necessary relationship between species diversity and productivity, and plant community productivity does not necessarily relate to plant species diversity, but relates to intercropping combinations and row ratio.
