非对称多模干涉MMI耦合器型的MZI光开关的模拟优化

光开关可以根据不同的需要,在各个种类的光网中集成,它是光交换技术的核心器件,其性能和尺寸决定了光交换矩阵的规模及其实用性。本文主要采用二氧化硅平面光波导技术对多模干涉(MMI)耦合器型的马赫-曾德尔干涉仪(MZI)型热光开关展开了一系列的研究。用OptiBPM软件设计了非对称式MMI耦合器型MZI型 2×2 光开关,TE模式下,插入损耗为1.046dB,隔离度为21.07dB,归一化功率为0.853340,TM模式下,插入损耗为1.065dB,隔离度为21.78dB,归一化功率为0.848351;其偏振相关损耗为0.019dB。
Optic switch is the core device of optical switching technology. Theperformance and size of optical switch affect size and utility of opticalswitching matrix.This paper focuses on the research ofMach-Zehnder Interferometer (MZI) thermo-optic switch.We simulated and designed asymmetrical typeMZI 2×2 optical switches withMMI coupler. The result of simulation:In TE mode , insertion loss is 1.046dB, isolation lossis 21.07dB, normalized power is 0.85334.In TM mode, insertion loss is 1.065dB, isolation loss is 21.78dB, normalized power is 0.848351; polarization dependent loss of the 2×2 optical switches is 0.019dB.
