o meet the current primary forest production tasks and the actual needs of business management, this paper proposes a GIS component, based on geographic information system platform to establish forest concept in order to achieve the information management of forest resouce Mao ershan geographic information system platform. This article ArcGIS technology, ArcGIS Engine technology, computer technology and visualization techniques together to cap child Forest Farm Forest resource data and a variety of drawing materials (including: forest maps, topographic maps, thematic map) as an information source, object-oriented visual programming language VisualC ++6.0 as development platform, using GIS component ArcGIS Engine development method to develop forest resources in geographic information systems, realize visual management of forest resources.
