外部随机发生的事件中蕴含着专利未来前景的不完全信息,这些信息和研发能否成功的技术不确定性会影响企业的专利研发投资决策。考虑不完全信息、技术不确定性和竞争,本文建立实物期权投资决策模型,分别得到了单个企业和双寡头企业投资专利研发所需的临界信念,并进一步分析了两对称企业专利竞赛可能出现的均衡类型及产生条件。结果表明,专利固有的“赢者通吃”特性、技术不确定性使企业产生推迟投资和提前投资两种不同效应;信号到达速度越快、信号质量越高,追随者投资所需信念越高;企业间的竞争均衡可能出现占先均衡和同时投资均衡。
here is incomplete information about the future prospect of the patent contained in the events happened randomly outside, and the informational and technical uncertainty in whether the R&D can succeed will influence enterprises’ patent R&D investment decisions. By considering incomplete information, technical uncertainty and competition, and This paper develops an investment decision-making model based on real options analysis, and obtains the critical believes needed for patent R&D investments of single enterprise and duopoly enterprises respectively, and further analyzes the equilibrium types and related conditions that may appear in the patent race between two symmetric enterprises. The result shows that the inherent characteristic of patents, the “winner takes all”, and the technical uncertainty may lead the enterprises to delay its investment or bring its investment forward; the faster the signal received, the higher the quality of the signal will be and the follower’s investment belief required will be higher. Moreover, the competition equilibrium among the enterprises can result in preemption equilibrium. and simultaneous investment equilibrium..
