Krupel
he role of Kruppel-like factors in immune system
KLF(Kruppel-like factors)是锌指蛋白超家族的一个亚家族。
Kruppel-like transcription factors (KLF) family is a subgroup in the Zinc finger protein super family. To date, there are 17 members of the mammalian KLF family. The KLF family participates in diverse aspects of cellular growth, development, activation, differentiation and apoptosis. Nowadays more and more studies indicated that Kruppel-like factors (KLFs) may be key transacting factors that involved in leukocyte biology, including migration of T cells, differentiation and function of regulatory T cells, activation or renewal of mononuclear-macrophage, and maturation or activation of B cells. In this article, we reviewed the structural features of KLF family and especially the function of several KLFs that involved in leukocyte biology.
