There are mainly five research areas about bioflocculant recently, such as characteristics and flocculating mechanism, Types of micro-organism which can generate MBF, studies on culture medium of bioflocculant-producing microorganisms,combination technologies with traditional organic flocculant and inorganic flocculant, et al. Summarization from the recent progress about aspects above,as well as further research attention on bioflocculant was paid.
