基于IEEE 802.16j的无线中继网络终端切换
MS Handover Procedure in IEEE 802.16j Multi-hop Relay Network
传统点对多点的蜂窝网络构架限制了基站的覆盖半径,影响边缘用户的信号,部署新基站则成本太高。无线多跳中继技术就是在这种环境下提出,并得到国内外学术界的广泛关注。无线多跳中继技术是对传统点对多点无线网络架构的有力增加和补充,以低廉的成本,较小的技术改动实现对传统无线网络的容量增强和覆盖范围的扩大。其中,正在制定中的IEEE 802.16j协议便是基于IEEE 802.16e协议的增强和改进,围绕着中继的引入,制定相关的技术协议标准。本文首先介绍了IEEE 802.16j协议中定义的关于无线中继网络的一些关键概念和技术,阐述了透明和非透明中继模式的区别和内容,随后着重分析了无线中继网络中不同中继模式下终端切换流程。
radional network coverage and the signal strength of end users near the edge are limited by Point to Multi-Point(PMP) celluare structure. And the cost of solution by deployment of new basestaions would be too high to be feasible. Therefore, wireless relay technology has attracted high attention worldwide from academic area for it is a strong complement and enhancement to traditional Point to Multi-Point cellular network structure and could provide larger network coverage and enhanced capacity with low cost and little technical modification. IEEE 80216j standard which adds wireless relay technology to IEEE 802.16e standard is under research and development. This paper firstly introduces some basis concepts like transparent and nontransparent relay in multi-hop wireless network based on IEEE 802.16j standard. Then, details regarding to mobile station handover procedures in different operation modes of relay network are given.
