本文首先介绍用光束传播法(Beam Propagation Method,简称BPM)研究熔融型光纤分路器中场分布与传播的原理;然后阐述了理论研究中光纤分路器耦合区的两种模型(质量不守恒与质量守恒模型),并用BeamPROP软件对这两种模型进行模拟仿真,得到两种模型不同拉伸长度、不同分光比下PDL与熔融度D的关系,发现PDL=0的理论点;最后将理论结果与实验结果进行对比分析,总结了理论与实验结果产生差异的原因。

In this paper, the fundamental principles of BPM(Beam Propagation Method) used to simulate and calculate the process of the beam propagation is first introduced. Then two kinds of the model of the coupling area usually used in the theoretical research are briefly introduced. After that, this paper carefully simulated the two kinds of model, and the calculated results show the relationship of the PDL and D under different pulling-length and splitting ratio, and found the minimum value of the PDL. Finally this paper compared and analyzed the theoretical and the experimental results, and summed up the reasons for the difference between them.
