香根草有性繁殖植株经过1个生活周期（8-9个月）分蘖数平均每株21个，最高可达30个；株高1.3-2.0m、叶长55-100cm、叶宽5-10mm、根粗0.6-1.8mm、根长60-120cm、根冠比4％-6％、抽穗率10%-30%（最高可达到50％）、圆锥花序长15-39 cm；淡黄色的种子长1.5-2.5mm，宽0.6-0.8mm，呈长椭圆型；主枝和第1、2侧枝的最高结实率分别为25.79%、18.99%、11.97%，均值18.92%；种子千粒重则依次为0.363g、0.280g、0.231g，均值0.291g。结果表明， 香根草有性繁殖植株基本与亲本保持一致，并且结实率较低。此外，我们在2003年10-12月先后2次发现香根草有性繁殖植株出现害虫，初步鉴定为蚜虫。
he average tilling number of sexual-reproductive Vetiveria zizanioides reached 21 in every plant and maximum of 30 after one life cycle about eight to nine months.In addition,plant height 1.3-2.0 m,leaf length of 55-100cm, leaf width of 5-10mm,root thickness of 0.6-1.8mm, root length of 6-12cm, root-shoot ratio of 4％-6％,heading rate of 10%-30% and maximum of 50％,conical spike length of15-39 cm；flaxen seed which seeming elliptic length of 1.5-2.5mm and width 0.6-0.8mm；the topmost setting percentage of bough, the first and second side branch were 25.79%、18.99%、11.97%，average of 18.92%,with the seminal 1000-grain weight were 0.363g、0.280g、0.231g and average of 0.291g。The results showed that as following， sexual reproductive Vetiveria zizanioides is basically as the same as parental genergation, besides that the setting percentage is lower.Moreover,we discover one new pest that primary appraisal name Aphid on the sexual-reproductive plants in october and december in year 2003.
