Experimental study on hydraulic characteristics of mushroom shape intake

本文对蘑菇头式取水口的水力特性进行了试验研究。模型实验研究中,采用粒子图像测速系统(PIV)测得了取水口的流速分布,试验中针对不同的流速比,测量了取水口及其近区的流速场以及紊动能k和雷诺应力的分布。试验结果显示取水口内部及其近区流场具有明显的三维紊流特征,流速峰值一般出现在取水口中下部。

he hydraulic characteristics of the mushroom shape intake are studied experimental in a flume. The Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) is applied to measure the velocity distributions inside intake and its near area. The flow fields and distributions of turbulent energy k and Reynolds stress for different ratio of the channel velocity to intake velocity are obtained. It is found that the flow field possesses the characteristics of 3-D flow and the velocity distributions inside intake and its near area. The velocity distributions of the mushroom shape intake highly dependence on the ratio of the channel velocity to intake velocity. The maximum velocity always exists at the middle and the bottom of the intake.
