In this paper, a low noise, wide band amplifier for k band is presented, which used the NE350184C transistor of NEC Company. The input and output matching circuit is designed by branch lines. The design, optimization and simulation are completed by ADS. Waveguide-to-microstrip transitions are added to the input and output ports. At last, the characteristic of the LNA is frequency: 19GHz-23GHz; gain > 12dB; gain flatness < 1dB; noise figure<1.5dB.
