he rigid surface modulated with period arrays of subwavelength grooves can support highly confined surface states, which are now called designer surface acoustic waves (DSAWs). At low frequency, the surface waves are nonleaky. By introducing an extra larger-period array of narrow ridges into the original structured plate, the surface waves turn leaky.The interference of the surface waves and the waves diffusing from the source results in a collimated beam.Both experimental and simulated results show obvious collimation of sound.
