高程数据在诸多领域的研究中都有着重要作用。而数据的缺失及数据采集的复杂性是制约高程数据运用的关键因素。为解决这一问题,本文提出从Google Earth上采集数据,充分利用现有数据。并采用VC++ 6.0和Google Earth的API函数进行二次开发,编写一个GE高程提取软件模块。该模块能从Google Earth中快速提取大量高程信息,以供GIS软件建立数字高程模型或做其它用途,简化了数据采集的复杂性,为用户使用高程数据提供了极大的方便。本文详细介绍了该模块的实现原理及算法,并通过案例分析此方法的有效性及高效性。

Elevation date plays an important role in many fields. The shortage of data and the complexity of data acquisition are the key factors which restrict its application. To solve this problem, acquiring data from Google Earth, which fully uses existing data, was proposed in the paper. With the VC++ 6.0 and Google earth COM API, a software module has been developed to acquire elevation data from Google earth. It can acquire much information quickly for GIS software to establish digital elevation model and for other use, and it simplifies the complexity of acquiring data and makes using elevation data very easy. In the paper, the implementation principle of this module is introduced in detail, and the validity and efficiency is analyzed by case.
