hrough to the U-Boot research, the article introduces it's source codes systematically and the transplanting problem which should be pay attention to. U-Boot can according to the different hardware platforms, makes corresponding disposition, thus enables it to make the corresponding adjustment to act according to the embedded hardware development personnel's new design. Firstly, it introduces the U-Boot source code structure; secondly, it establishes the cross compiling environment, this environment is very important for the embedded development; thirdly, it is the U-Boot compiling, it is a method used for examining the cross compiling environment whether it can translate U-Boot or not; and then it through increases the PING command, indicates that the general command increases method and step; Finally it increases the support for NANDFLASH of U-Boot, NANDFLASH's performance is similar with NORFLASH, but the price is cheaper, it's used massive in embedded components now. This article bases on the hardware characteristics of YCS3C2440 and then makes the corresponding disposition, it has realized U-Boot run on YCS3C2440.
