基于级联马赫曾德尔调制器产生40GHz用于解光时分复用的窄脉冲
Generation of 40GHz Short Pulses for OTDM Demultiplexing Using Cascaded MZMs
本文通过实验论证了使用级联的马赫曾德尔调制器能够产生频率为40GHz的相位稳定的窄脉冲。实验测得光脉冲的宽度约为4.2皮秒。时延抖动,消光比及光信噪比依次为80飞秒,18dB和50dB。通过该方法产生的光脉冲可应用于4*40GBaud/s光时分复用系统中的解复用环节。
In this paper, we experimentally demonstrated the generation of 40GHz phase stable short pulses based on cascaded Mach-Zehnder modulators (MZM). The pulse width is measured to be 4.2ps. The time jitter, extinction ratio (ER) and optical signal-to-noise ratio (OSNR) are measured to be better than 80fs, 18dB and 50dB respectively. The generated optical pulses can be further used for demultiplexing in 4*40GBaud/s optical time-division muletiplexing (OTDM) systems.
