his paper introduced the design process of overall structure of hardware and software in the mine gas warning systems based on CAN bus to achieve a concentration of coal mine gas warning and effectively reduced mine accidents. The core controller of the mine gas early warning system is single chip processor MSP430F149, and the CAN bus controller is SJA1000, and the CAN bus transceiver is PCA82C250.The information of the data can be delivered by the CAN bus. The CAN-based coal mine gas warning system with high reliability, speed, real time and so on could meet the requirements of mine safety.
