人类不断的开采和消耗化石能源导致严重的环境问题和能源危机。大气中二氧化碳浓度的急剧增加将会导致全球变暖,海平面上升,冰川融化,极端气候频发,破坏大自然的碳循环等不利影响。耦合可再生清洁能源和电化学二氧化碳还原,将二氧化碳转换为高附加值化学物质或燃料,被认为是一种清洁高效二氧化碳利用策略,并可以缓解日益严重的能源危机。电化学二氧化碳还原被认为是一种非常有吸引力利用策略,反应在常温常压下进行,电解液是成本低廉近中性的无机盐溶液,电化学二氧化碳还原产物易被调控。总结常见的二氧化碳还原二电子转移产物及多电子转移产物,并通过电化学参数量化催化剂的二氧化碳还原性能,比较评估不同文献所报道的电催化剂性能。
Human beings continue to mine and consume fossil fuels, leading to serious environmental problems and energy crises. CO2 concentrations escalates in atmospheric leads to global warming, sea level rise, polar glacier melting, extreme weather events, destruction of natural carbon-neutral energy cycle. Coupling electrochemical CO2 reduction reaction (CO2RR) with renewable clean energy source, CO2 is converted into value-add fuels or chemicals, which has been considered as a promising and clean strategy for CO2 utilization and alleviate the ever-increasing energy crisis. ECR is an attractive strategy which was operated under ambient temperature and pressure, the electrolyte is a low cost near-neutral inorganic salt aqueous solution and electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction reaction products is easily to be regulated. Summarize the common two-electron transfer and multi-electron transfer products of carbon dioxide reduction and through electrochemical parameters to evaluate and compare the carbon dioxide reduction performance of different catalysts reported in different literature.
