基于对称双芯光纤耦合器的集成式应力传感器

提出了一种新型的基于对称双芯光纤的集成式光纤耦合器,并且通过实验验证可以用于应力传感。对这种传感器的工作原理进行了较为详细的理论分析,用熔融拉锥法对双芯光纤进行拉锥,从一个纤芯注入的光在锥形耦合区会全部或部分耦合到另一个纤芯中。通过测量双芯光纤的任意一个纤芯的输出功率就可得到对光纤施加应力的大小。实验测量了两个纤芯的输出功率,结果表明双芯光纤耦合器可以用于应力传感。
novel integrated fiber-optic strain sensor based on a symmetrical twin-core optical fiber was proposed and demonstrated as a strain sensor. The working principle of this sensor was theoretical analysis in detail. By heating and tapering a symmetrical twin-core fiber, the light from one core of the twin-core fiber can be partly or completely coupled into the other core in the coupled zone as the fiber was pulling. By detecting the output power of any one core of the twin-core fiber, the strain applied on the fiber can be determined. The output power of two cores were experimental measured, the results show that the twin-core fiber coupler can be used for strain sensor.
