基于FPGA的DDS信号发生器的设计

信号发生器在科研以及生产实践领域有着广泛的应用。传统的信号发生器通常是通过模拟电路的振荡、变换得到各种信号。由于模拟器件以及模拟电路自身的局限性,其发展已经遇到了瓶颈。直接数字频率合成技术(DDS)作为一种关键的数字技术,它具有高分辨率,低噪声,高频率稳定性等优点。鉴于此,它正逐步取代传统的信号发生器。本文以FPGA为平台,介绍了DDS的基本原理,DDS的FPGA实现方案。在传统DDS的基础上提出改进措施,使得DDS具有更高的输出分辨率和波形存储器利用率。
Signal generators are widely used in the fields of scientific research and production practice. For traditional signal generator, kinds of signals can be got by oscillation and transformation of analog circuit. It is hard to get further development because of the limitations of anolog device and anolog circuit. DDS is a key digital technology, which has a high resolution, low noise and high stability. It is taking the place of traditional signal generator due to its advantages. This paper describes the basic principle of DDS, proposes the solution of DDS by FPGA. Improvements are given based on the tranditional DDS which allow DDS having higher output resolution and higher efficiency of memory utilization ratio.
