基于iSCSI的网络存储系统性能分析
Performance Analysis of iSCSI-based Network Storage System
iSCSI 是一种通过TCP/IP网络实现远程存储访问的重要协议,由于它在传输层采用的不同机制,基于iSCSI的存储系统可能具有与传统存储系统不同的性能特性。本文建立网络传输的排队模型,分析了iSCSI协议的协议数据单元等性能参数和网络性能参数对网络存储系统的性能的影响,并利用OPNET构建iSCSI仿真模型,验证了对基于iSCSI的网络存储系统性能的分析。
iSCSI is an important protocol to enable remote storage access through the solitary TCP/IP network.. Due to the significant shift in its transport mechanism, iSCSI-based network storage system may possess different performance characteristics from the traditional storage system. In this paper, we proposed a queue model to discuss how the size of iSCSI PDU and the network performance parameter affect the performance of iSCSI-based network storage system. To verify our analysis, a iSCSI protocol simulation model based on the OPNET software is set up.
