Interconnected Co3O4 nanosheets on rGO-coated nickel foam and the improved supercapacitive behaviors

In this paper, we report facile synthesis of interconnected Co3O4 nanosheets anchored on reduced graphene oxide (rGO)-coated nickel foam (NF) and investigate the supercapacitive properties. A specific capacitance of about 1016.4 F g-1 is achieved for the Co3O4/rGO/NF system at the current density of 1 A g-1. As a comparison, the architecture of Co3O4 nanosheets on NF shows a specific capacitance of about 580.0 F g-1 at the same current density. Meanwhile, the capacitance of Co3O4/rGO/NF exhibits excellent stability at a high current density of 7 A g-1 and retains about 95.5% of the initial value even after 3000 charge-discharge cycles.
