wo layered manganese naphthalene-1,4-dicarboxylate compounds based on the paddle-wheel Mn2(COO)4 motifs, (EMIm)[Mn(ndc)Br] and (HMIm)[Mn(ndc)Br], and two three-dimensional networks (RMIm)[Mn2(ndc)2(OAc)] (RMIm = BMIm and HMIm ) were prepared from various ionic liquids. Significant relationship of π-π interactions and template effect are found between the naphthalene part of organic ligands and IL imidazolium rings
