SOA型光缓存器是运用半导体光放大器(SOA)作为信号读取开关的一种光缓存器。SOA型光缓存器内,随着缓存时间的增加,光信号脉冲质量会不断劣化。研究重点在于引入切趾啁啾光纤光栅(ACFG)用于改善缓存信号质量。采用Opti-system 7.0仿真软件,对SOA型光缓存系统进行仿真,对比分析有无切趾啁啾光纤光栅两种情况下的光信号参数。综合考虑光脉冲压缩比、能量衰减率和光信噪比等因素,用以衡量输出光脉冲质量。并讨论切趾啁啾光纤光栅对光缓存器缓存时间的影响,以及突出说明切趾啁啾光纤光栅对缓存信号质量的改善作用。

Optical buffer which is based on semiconductor optical amplifier(SOA) as signal reading switch is called SOA optical buffer. As storing time increasing, signal quality in SOA optical buffer is constantly reduced. The main research point is to use apodized and chirped fiber grating(ACFG) for optimizing the quality of optical signal. Under the conditions of optical buffer with and without ACFG, using Opti-system 7.0 software to simulate the system and comparatively analyse the parameters of optical pulse. Synthetically consider the factors including the compressing ratio of optical pulse, energy loss ratio and optical signal noise ratio(OSNR), all of which are used to measure the quality of optical pulse. Discuss how ACFG influences the storing time and improves the quality of optical pulse in optical buffer.
