he successful design and realization of wireless data communication between Electronic Total Stations and Pocket PC mainly depends on wireless data-transmission module and the code programming with eMbedded Visual Tools. Their serial ports were analyzed and then hardware implementation was given. Besides, proper time lapse set in the program according to experience in this study. The solution presents a method of real-time data processing at the backsight in digital surveying and provides with a new method in the field of surveying engineering.
