相对于传统的数据中心内树形电交换网络,OpenScale网络是一种利用光交换技术实现的扁平化、可重构且带宽弹性的数据中心内部网络架构,具有高带宽、低能耗以及易扩展等优势。为了充分发挥OpenScale网络的灵活性,需要设计一个合适的智能控制平面,以支持对OpenScale网络中光突发交换、波长交换和电分组交换等多种能力的综合控管。为此,本文提出一种基于OpenFlow的集中式控制平面设计方案,结合OpenScale架构特点,定义了相关控制机制和协议扩展,并通过实验演示验证了所提方案可行性。

ompared to traditional datacenter network (DCN) architecture based on electrical switching and tree-form network topology, OpenScale is a novel architecture that uses optical switching technologies to achieve a flat, reconfigurable and bandwidth-elastic network, and has the advantages of high bandwidth, low energy consumption and good scalability. In order to maximize the flexibility of OpenScale network, it is necessary to design an appropriate intelligent control plane, which is capable of effectively coordinating the optical burst switching, wavelength switching and packet switching capabilities. In this paper, considering the specific features of OpenScale, we propose an OpenFlow based control plane solution, including the detailed control mechanisms and OpenFlow protocol extensions. Finally, we setup a simple testbed to verify the feasibility of our proposal.
