he disposal ability of municipal solid waste (MSW) is the vital factor in urban development evaluation. The paper establishes the index system to evaluate the regional difference of disposal ability of MSW with factors analysis mechanism. Based on the analysis, the influence factors of sustainable municipal solid waste disposal ability can be divided into two parts, called hardware factors and software factors respectively. And the hardware factors are the key factors in the evaluation of sustainable municipal solid waste disposal ability. In conclusion, outsourcing may be proper way to solve the long term deficiency of municipal solid waste disposal ability.
