为增强虹膜识别算法对睫毛干扰的抑制能力,本文提出了一种基于形态学算子的睫毛干扰抑制方法。该方法将虹膜图像中存在的睫毛干扰看作是背景图像中存在的随即的、不规则的细微裂缝,利用形态学中膨胀算子的像素填补功能来消除这些裂缝,实现了对睫毛干扰的有效抑制。与传统虹膜识别方法中所使用的高斯滤波方法相比,由于所提方法考虑了睫毛的特殊特征,所以对睫毛干扰具有更强的抑制能力,更适合在虹膜识别技术中应用。对CASIA虹膜库的测试结果表明,相对传统的高斯滤波方法而言,所提方法可以在高斯滤波法的基础上使睫毛像素点进一步减少40%。

In order to improve the performance of eyelash interference suppressing algorithm of iris recognition method, a new suppressing algorithm based on Morphological operators was developed. Considering the eyelash as the fine nondirectional silt in the background of eye image, the suppressing of eyelash interference can be seen as a process filling up these fine slits by dilation operator. Compared with the traditional algorithm, the Gaussian filter, the proposed algorithm can suppress more eyelash interference. The experiment results form the CASIA iris database shows that the proposed method can reduce more eyelash pixels than that of the traditional algorithm.
