igital TV network simplifies network management through the application of SNMP, which standardizes management of the network. Network management software in the network management station manages digital television equipment by communication with the front-end network management agent in the equipment, which provides a great convenience to the maintenance of digital television network. The role that the device parser module performs in the network management software is to parse, store and display the received SNMP messages, ensuring that users can monitor the network's real-time running status. This paper discusses the design of a low-overhead, high maintainability of the equipment parser, and reflects its value by embedded in an existing network management system.
