单模光纤与光子晶体光纤混合光纤耦合器研究
Research on Coupler of Single Mode Fiber with Photonic Crystal Fiber
为了制作光子晶体光纤耦合器,本文利用自沉积侧面熔贴耦合方法,制作出单模光纤与光子晶体光纤的混合光纤耦合器。建立仿真模型计算得出单模光纤与光子晶体光纤耦合的可行性,并成功制作了单模光纤与光子晶体光纤的混合光纤耦合器。可制作出的耦合器的耦合比的变化范围为0~90%。测试混合光纤耦合器的波长相关损耗、偏振相关损耗和温度湿度对其耦合比的影响。在1520~1620nm波长范围内,耦合器的直通端和耦合端的波长相关损耗分别为0.3dB和5dB;在波长为1310nm和1550nm时,耦合器的直通端偏振相关损耗分别为0.25dB和0.31dB,耦合端偏振相关损耗分别为1.46dB和1.75dB;在10~80℃的温度变化范围与10%~70%的湿度变化范围内,耦合器的耦合比变化幅度为7%~16%。可知,自沉积侧面熔贴耦合方法可以制作出性能稳定的单模光纤与光子晶体光纤的混合光纤耦合器,为光子晶体光纤耦合器的制作提供了方法参考和实验基础。
In this paper, a coupler of single mode fiber with photonic crystal fiber is fabricated with a new method called Auto-deposition Fused Side-adhere Coupling. A model for coupler of side-polished single mode fiber with side-polished photonic crystal fiber is established which proves it feasible to make such a coupler practically. The ration of coupler can be changed from 0 to 90%. In this Paper measure the wavelength dependent loss, polarization dependent loss and the effect of temperature and humidity of the coupler. In the range of 1520nm~1620nm, the wavelength dependent loss of the through port is 0.3dB and of the coupled port is 5dB. The polarization dependent loss of through port is 0.25dB and 0.31dB at the wavelength of 1310nm and 1550nm, and polarization dependent loss of coupled port is 1.46dB and 1.75dB. When temperature changes from 10℃ to 80℃ and humidity changes from 10% to 70%, coupling ratio changes about 7% to 16%. It can be concluded that a steady coupler of single mode fiber with photonic crystal fiber can be made with the Auto-deposition Fused Side-adhere Coupling method, which can give a reference method and lay an experimental foundation for the fabrication of photonic crystal fiber coupler.
