In mobile communication system, transmit diversity can be used to reduce the effect of fading. Mobile terminals with single antenna can get transmit diversity by cooperating with each other. Compared with the existed cooperation strategy, such as AF(Amplify and Forward) and DF(Decode and Forward), coded cooperation can perform better because it could get both diversity gain and coding gain. In this paper, the theoretical results of coded cooperation has been examined and simulated under Nakagami-m fading channels in fixed relay system. It has been found that coded cooperation can always perform well even through the relay station's channel situation is worse than the channel between mobile terminals and base station.
