hromium nitride nanocrystalline were successfully synthesized at 550 oC through a new solid-state reaction route. The synthesis was carried out in an autoclave by using Cr and NaNH2 as the reactants. Characterized by XRD, TEM and SAED, the composition and morphology of the products were confirmed. This work contributes an effective and facile method for preparing the refractory metal nitride.
