SCTP(流控制传输协议)是继TCP和UDP之后第三个通用传输层协议[7]。该协议是一种面向链接的可靠传输协议,具有多家乡性[7]。在现有的SCTP协议中,多家乡性主要用于提高关联的稳定性,关联在同一时间内,只有主路径在传输数据。利用多家乡性可以实现关联内基于SCTP负载分担,大大增加端到端吞吐量,提高网络的使用效率。本文分析了实现基于SCTP负载分担需要解决的关键问题,提出了基于带宽估计的传输控制算法,并在NS2中进行了仿真分析,仿真结果表明:利用SCTP协议的多家乡性实现负载分担,大大增加了端到端的吞吐量,提高网络的使用效率。

SCTP(Streaming Control Transmission Protocol) is the third general transport protocol after TCP and UDP. It is an connection-oriented protocol. Multihoming, as one main feature of SCTP, currently is just used to increase association stablity with only one path to transmit data at the same time in one association.. We can use SCTP multihoming to implement load sharing. As a result, load sharing will increase the end-to-end throughput and improve network efficiency. This paper lists several key issues in implementing load sharing, and proposes a new transmission control method based on assessing bandwidth. We analyzed the load sharing performance comparing with other schemas using NS-2.
