含水量对软土无侧限变形影响的试验研究

Experimental study on the deformation of soft soil under the unconfined condition

在基槽开挖、基坑的放坡开挖或隧道掘进过程中临空面附近的土体将发生应力卸荷,其土体由此产生较大的侧向变形。特别是在软土地区其变形量往往很大,对工程建设有很大的危害性,处理不当可能酿成重大工程事故。实际上,该变形是一个无侧限变形问题。本文为了研究无侧限条件下软土的变形特性,采用由常规固结仪改装而成的无侧限压缩试验仪对原状软土及重塑土进行无侧限压缩试验。试验结果表明,每级荷载施加后,试样快速变形,随着时间延长其变形量不断增加,变形速率逐渐减小;无侧限条件下应变率(轴向、侧向)远大于有侧限条件下的压缩应变率,加载初期尤为明显。这里重点分析了含水量和轴向应力对变形的影响,当轴向应力一定时,软土的轴向应变和侧向应变之比随着含水量的增大呈现减小的趋势,而与含水量具有良好的指数函数关系;而当含水量一定时,其应变比随着轴向应力的增大呈现出逐渐减小的趋势。这里对试验曲线进行数学方程拟合分析,给出了软土的轴向应变和侧向应变之比计算公式。

he soil near the free face will unload stress in the excavation or tunneling, for which the soil occurs lateral deformation. The deformation of soft soil is always great, which may cause great harm to buildings, if not handled properly. In fact, the deformation of soft soil is the deformation under the unconfined condition. To study the characteristics of soft soil under the unconfined condition, a conventional consolidation test apparatus was modified to a unconfined compression apparatus for soft clays. A series of laboratory tests were conducted to investigate the characteristics of the unconfined compression of undisturbed samples and remodeling samples. The result shows that the sample has a rapid deformation after each level of load applied, and the deformation of the sample increases and the deformation rate decreases gradually as time goes on. The axial and lateral strain rate under unconfined condition is far greater than it under unidirectional compression condition especially in the early stage of loading. We mainly analyze the influence of moisture content and axial stress on the deformation. For the samples with identical axial stress, the ratio of the axial and lateral strain decreases with the increase of the moisture content and fit the exponential function well. The ratio of the axial and lateral strain decreases with the increase of the axial stress when the moisture content is certain. The calculation formula of the strain ratio is obtained according to the test results.
