专题地图点符号配色系统设计与测评

olor scheme is an important part of the expression of thematic map elements and their visual design. However，there is still lacking in systematical guidance. The development of a 'Prototype System of Point Symbol Color Scheming in Thematic Maps' aims at the color scheme problem between foreground point symbols and background areas. The system is based on Flash platform and for non-professional cartographers. Based on the basic principles of complementary， contrast，adjacent and similar color relations，1344 alternative color schemes are divided into the four categories which cover colored and gray series. Through a evaluation experiment we compare our system with a traditional user-independent color selection mode using standard color panels .The results show that our system possesses a clear functional orientation and better user satisfaction，while it not only can narrow the range of color selection as well as reduce the color scheming difficulty for laypersons，but also can improve operational efficiency.
